This was my last ST1100 that I sold 10 months ago. As it was an ex-police bike I wanted to restore the bike but due to legal issues I could not really choose a UK force. After some research I found this design that was used for ST1100s by the Western Australia Police - Traffic Enforcement Group.

Hi Andy, a great looking bike but how legal is it over here in the UK, not so much the blue and white chequer but the words `Police` displayed?

Good point, the red/blue lights were covered by a black sock when I was riding and I had a single strip of black tape through 'Police' so to disguise the wording. I had spoken to some bike cops about the bike and they were happy as long as I did not try to impersonate a cop!
