The ST1100 Police model

Honda ST1100 Police Spec Brochure

The ST1100 Police variant was available (although reputedly only to law enforcement personnel) even after production of the civilian model ended in 2002. In fact I have seen several advertised for sale as new, with 2006 being given as the year of manufacture.

There are a few minor differences between the Police specification and civilian models; although both are based on the same frame and engine. For example, there are no rear footpegs (not surprising considering the seat is designed for only one person). The electronics were upgraded (including a 40A alternator) to be able to handle the sundry lights, sirens, antennae, and radio equipment.

For information purposes, the ST1100 Police Owners Manual is available as a free download in the ST1100 Shop.

By the way, although the "P" is used by some sources to refer to the police model, it should not be confused with the model suffix. For example a civilian model manufactured in 1994 would be a ST1100P. If it was a police model of that year it would be a ST1100PP. A year 2000 police model would be a ST1100PY.
